01Who we are

Tekmul ("Tekmul", "we", "us") is a Canadian digital services company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We build websites, apps and AI agents, provide SEO, digital marketing and market intelligence, and help entrepreneurs set up their businesses. We serve clients worldwide and all prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).

This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it and the choices you have. We follow Canada's private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, Quebec's Law 25 and other provincial privacy laws.

02What information we collect

• Contact details you give us: your name, email address, phone number and — when you use our forms — your business name, website, business type, location, the service you need, your budget and the problem you want solved.
• Booking details: the service, date and time you choose when you book a call with us.
• Messages you send us: through our website forms, our AI chat assistant, WhatsApp, email or phone.
• Website usage data: pages visited, approximate location (city/country), device and browser type, collected through cookies and Google Analytics. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.
• Client records: if you become a client, we keep project details, invoices, payments and correspondence needed to deliver and account for our work.

03Why we collect it

• To reply to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for.
• To prepare quotes, proposals and invoices, and to keep proper business records.
• To schedule and remind you about appointments you booked.
• To send you marketing messages — but only with your consent (see the next section).
• To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.

04Your consent, and how to withdraw it

We collect, use and share your personal information only with your consent, or where the law permits (for example, to meet tax or legal obligations). When you submit a form, book a call or message us, you consent to us using those details to respond and provide services.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@tekmul.com. We will stop using your information for that purpose, subject to records we must keep by law.

05Email and text messages (Canadian anti-spam law)

Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) applies to the commercial messages we send. We follow it strictly:

• We only send marketing emails or texts when you have clearly agreed to receive them, or where CASL permits (for example, an existing business relationship).
• Every marketing message identifies Tekmul, includes our mailing contact in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and has a working unsubscribe link or reply instruction.
• If you unsubscribe, we stop within 10 business days and never send marketing to you again unless you ask us to.
• Transactional messages you'd reasonably expect — like a reply to your enquiry, a booking confirmation or an invoice — are not marketing, and we may still send those.

06Who we share information with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Tekmul, and only with what they need to do their job:

• Cloud hosting and database services that store form submissions, bookings and client records.
• Google Analytics, which helps us understand website traffic (anonymised usage data).
• WhatsApp (Meta), email and phone services so we can communicate with you the way you chose.
• Payment and accounting tools used to invoice and track payments.
• Professional advisers (for example, our accountant) where needed, and authorities where the law requires it.

07Where your information lives and how long we keep it

Your information is stored in secured cloud services, and may be processed outside your province or outside Canada. When it is, we rely on providers that protect it with safeguards comparable to Canadian standards, as PIPEDA requires.

We keep enquiry and lead details while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client records, invoices and payment records are kept for seven years to meet Canadian tax requirements. You can ask us to delete your information earlier where the law allows.

08How we protect it

• Access to client and lead data is limited to Tekmul team members who need it, protected by passwords and role-based access controls.
• Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
• We never publish, sell or trade contact lists, and our AI tools use your information only to serve you — never to train public AI models.

09Your rights: access and corrections

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@tekmul.com and we will respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires.

10Cookies and analytics

Our website uses essential cookies to function and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, though some features may be limited.

11Questions or complaints

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The "last updated" date at the top always shows the current version, and significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
